Someone was talking about poles conducting electricity...
Just to get a few facts right, well that "Pole" happened to be a Lamp Post and not one "Conducting electricity", inspite of knowing that this pieceof information has no relevance to the point that Sidler is trying to make, I felt like getting the facts right..
Some people always talk about tides changing...but alas they never do....
Anyways, I shall digress from the topic under intense discussion and return to the original theme that we set out to explore...
Well readers, that has been the story of the Three Man Senate so far, we set out to do something and end up doing something else(which usually involves the lastnight and Sidler trying to take each other's case, though of late sidler has been on the recieving end of a previously equally matched battle)

Its been awhile...
Greetings ... It has been a long time indeed...
The subject of tonight's discussion will be a pole... A tall pole , an innocent pole , a determined one whose sole purpose wass to transfer electricity... But no... there are certain unscrupulous characters who cant tolerate the tranquility emanating from it... They vent out their frustrations on that pole ... But that is not the point.. No sir...The point is, What drives these men to such extremes???... I am not sure ... But there is a learned one amongst us, who if he desires can enlighten us all....
Over to you, Oh erudite one!!!

Ahem.
While I don't claim to have been completely honest in the so-called entrance test for the unfortunately short-lived Amateur Astronomer's Association, I have also steadfastly maintained, despite Sidler's ridiculous and almost completely unfounded allegations, that I only cheated one answer from Harsh's paper, that's all!
And that, dear sirs, is the complete and unbiased truth, so help me God!
(Over to you, Sidler.)

Wokay..
Yes, I admit I was as enthusiastic as The Last Knight regarding the so-called astronomical phenomenon observed by us.. Its all his fault though.. His excitement was contagious... I should have realised that he was not as apt at astronomical observations as he claimed!!! But anyways..I really dont want to remind him of that astronomical club entry quiz!!! Am sure there will be a post full of vehement denials and baseless accusations!!!

New satellites
Hahahaha... Haven't thought about that astronomical episode in a long time... To get the facts straight, I saw this thing which looked like a star right next to the moon, for the first time in my life. Never having seen any other heavenly body right next to the moon, I was naturally rather curious, and more than a little excited upon seeing this sight. I promptly called up Sidler, and he confirmed that what I was seeing really did exist, and wasn't just a product of my imagination. Upon this, I jumped to my first conclusion:
"It's a new man-made satellite!!!"
I called up G next, proposed my theory to him, asked him if he had a pair of binoculars, and suggested we three convene on his terrace to study this new object in the sky more closely. He sounded a little dubious about the satellite theory, but agreed to take part in the investigation.
Oh, did I mention, Sidler was as excited as I was (a statement which he'll hotly contest, no doubt... :P). He came running from two blocks away, practically beside himself with excitement, and ran up the stairs to G's place at full tilt, after which he spent the next ten minutes gasping for breath.
G led us up to his terrace, and armed with a pair of 'beach binoculars' [:D], we studied the object to the best of our abilities... Various theories were propounded, most of them by an admittedly somewhat enthusiastic lastknight [:P], including the particularly exciting idea that it was a supernova... After about an hour of this, it dawned on us that we had exams not far away, and we regretfully went back to our respective homes. We may not have solved the mystery, nor did the next day's newspaper mention anything about a new supernova [:P], but it had certainly been a rather fun evening.
Oh, and as always, G beat me to to it, with the post about our erstwhile phone calls... :) Yes, like the man said, there was indeed a time when our telephonic conversations were thirty seconds long... :D
